BOGIE HEARTH FURNACES

Therser Wellman supply both gas-fired and electrically heated bogie hearth furnaces, suitable for a wide range of industrial applications and over a wide range of load shapes and sizes.

Whilst operating as batch processing, the bogie hearth furnace provides a movable furnace hearth that is able to move away from the main furnace heating chamber to allow crane or manipulator access to the hearth of the furnace for easy loading and unloading of components or raw material pieces.

Many can also be applied with protective/reactive atmospheres to prevent oxidization (In process) or enhance metallurgical properties within parts.

Typical applications include, all types of heat treatment processes in raw materials or component parts and in particular stress relieving of pre-fabricate structures.

Our Bogie Hearth Furnaces can also be designed to meet the high performance demands within thermal processing standards such as AMS 2750G, GE and Rolls Royce standards, to name a few.
