Seal Quench Furnace

Therser Wellman supply both gas-fired and electrically heated Seal Quench Furnaces, suitable for a wide range of industrial applications and over a wide range of load shapes and sizes.

Sealed quench furnaces offer the twin advantages of low running and maintenance costs and high production rates. The integrated heating chamber and quench allows for the complete process to be performed automatically, with the next basket of product being loaded into the furnace whilst the first is still in the quench.

Therser Wellman offers a standard range of sizes for most processing throughputs ranging across load sizes of 250 kg to 1500 kg. (Gross charge weight).

Depending on customer requirements, installations can include tempering furnaces, wash machines, loaders/unloaders, storage and lift tables, work grids, jigs and fixtures, baskets, atmosphere generators and control systems and computer networks, up to and including complete automation.

All are applied with protective/reactive atmospheres to prevent oxidization (In process) or enhance metallurgical properties within parts.

Our Seal Quench Furnaces can also be designed to meet the high performance demands within thermal processing standards such as AMS 2750G, GE and Rolls Royce standards, to name a few.
